Welcome to

Karen Ryder Theatre School, where your story begins!

Where theatre, imagination, possibility and uniqueness meet the rest of the world.  A place that utilises the arts to create a safe, inclusive space and bring out the very best in each individual.  We are passionate about the reach of the arts and acting from every angle, and so ensure its potential is not shoehorned into a preconceived box.  Our classes enrich everyone, nurture everyone, and welcome everyone.  So whether you have a love of performing and acting, want to gain industry recognised qualifications, wish to develop or unleash your creativity, require friendly encouragement to increase your self-belief, or need a helping hand to boost your conversational skills, we have got you covered.  A local company serving a local community, by a local gal.  We are able to serve what our community needs.

It's not all

Jazz Hands & Star Dust!

Acting, theatre and the arts teach work ethic, teamwork, agile thinking, emotional intelligence, exploration of varied cultures, experiences and perspectives, lateral thinking, problem solving, personal expression, self-awareness and leadership but to name a few.  The transferable skills and possibilities from our classes to everyday life are endless.

Where

Your Story Begins...

Karen Ryder Theatre School classes provide a creative outlet to support each students distinctive journey, enabling them to find their own voice, their own style, and their own way in the world.  We respect that everyone attends for their own reasons, and we allow these reasons the space to breathe, grow, and develop.  We nurture, empower and inspire students to be exactly who they want to be.  And along the way, you might just discover some hidden talents and give your heart over to the world of theatre.
